  Domestic & International Arbitration     Practices
In today’s business environment, commercial agreements are often drafted to require binding arbitration in the event of a dispute. This is in line with the perceived advantages of arbitration, as a mode of dispute resolution, over litigation. This is especially so in light of the effective and widely accepted scheme for the enforcement of foreign arbitral awards established by the New York Convention 1958 (adopted by over 130 countries to-date).

As a result, arbitrations are increasingly the choice of dispute resolution preferred by clients.

We pride ourselves with being well versed with the process of arbitration. Our lawyers have conducted both international and domestic arbitrations under various national and major multi-national arbitration institutions, including:

• Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC)
• SIAC Domestic Arbitration Rules
• ICC International Court of Arbitration
• United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Arbitration
Rules
• Singapore Institute of Architects – Arbitration Rules
